Elizabeth Agudelo inherited the obsession for conservation of rare tropical fruit species from her father Miqueas. Since 2011 Elizabeth renewed part of Villa Gabi plantation with high quality Colombian clones from the Arauca region. Part of the plantation (3.5 hectars) is cultivated with experimental clones selected from the old hybrids in the finca and other Araucan clones like FTA2 and FTA4. These cacao trees are 4 years old and are now giving the first yield, meaning Villa Gabi’s story is just about to begin.
